Just wanted to throw a reminder out there about dead (g)end(er)'s call for art and lit submissions!
The DEADLINE is not until MARCH 1st, but it's never too early to start thinking of ideas :)
You know those awesome doodles you drew all over your binder?... Get a sweet picture of it, and send it on over!
We're looking for:
visual art - photography, doodles, sketches, paintings, sculptures, graphic design, etc. (side note: please send us nice looking photos of the non-digital work!!) - you can submit up to 5 visual pieces (jpg doc's)
literature - poetry, short-fiction, articles, essays, novel excerpts, screen-play excerpts, theatre excerpts, song lyrics, etc. - submit up to six poems, or prose no longer than 2500 words
You can send your submissions to deadgender.mag@gmail.com along with a small bio! :)
And, oh yeah! If you didn't already know, we have FIVE CASH PRIZES up for grabs:
Three $20 prizes for outstanding works!
$50 to the Best Runner Up
and $100 to the Best Overall - the piece that was too cool for school!
Winners will be announced on April 1st, 2011 (a.i.xi), along with the publication of the magazine :)
Expect our pretty sweet poster to be kickin' around in a week or so!
