.cultura, ciudad y campo. #1 - an art show

dg is stoked to let you know that Omar Mosquera (a.k.a Ramo / Amor)-- one of Southern Ontario's freshest and most exciting young artists-- has put together an art show exploration of 'culture, city and country' opening this Saturday, August 13th at 7pm at the Niagara Artists' Centre (354 St. Paul Street, St. Catharines).

the show is set to feature works made exclusively by Mosquera, along with pieces created 'in-partnership' and collaboration with such other bright Niagara Region talents as Barsin Aghajan, Simon Cormier, Elyse blair McCreadie, and Bethany Scholl & Julia Prudhomme (the two minds behind the great art site Cosmic Horses).

as if all that wasn't exciting enough, the show's opening reception will also include the musical-goodness likes of Jaimie Godard, Omar Shabbar, and Randi Townsend!

this is a pay-what-you-can event!
support the homegrown arts :)

to learn a bit more about Mosquera's background and beginnings as a young artist, dg highly recommends you check out the well written Brock U Press story on him by Chris Illich, "Art happens, whether you like it or not".
and you can check out some of Omar's work on his site: Ramo de Amor

v dg will see you on the 13th v
