dg (re)reads...

a few of our favourite pieces from Gertrude Stein's poetry collection, Tender Buttons (1914):

PASTRY.
Cutting shade, cool spades and little last beds, make violet, violet when.

A SOUND.
Elephant beaten with candy and little pops and chews all bolts and reckless reckless rats, this is this.

A PETTICOAT.
A light white, a disgrace, an ink spot, a rosy charm.
